NEED A MAMMOGRAM?

Appointments must be made!

All patients are required to make an appointment for mammograms. This is necessary to reduce the waiting time and prevent congestion within the lab. Also when schedule for appointment you must inform the person who is taking the appointment, if you have breast implants.

Please come at least 15 minutes before your appointment time to register. After registration please take a seat and wait for your name to be called.

To make, change or cancel an appointment please call 949-7331, Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m & Saturday: 8.30 a.m – 1.00 p.m

Please inform us at least 1 day prior to your appointment if you are unable to attend. This would allow us time to schedule someone else in need of our service.

Preparing for your Mammogram

  • Wear 2-piece clothing (top and pants/skirt) to simplify undressing for exam.

  • Do not apply talc, deodorant, oils or creams on your upper body the day of the exam.

  • If you experience breast tenderness with your menstrual cycle, try to schedule your exam 1 - 2 weeks after your period when breasts tend to be less tender.

  • In some women, caffeine-containing products (cola, coffee, chocolate) could make breasts tenderer. Women who are sensitive should limit caffeine intake for 2 weeks prior to exam.

  • If you have had prior mammograms performed at other imaging facilities, notify your doctor so that the previous study may be requested for comparison.

  • Women should inform their doctor if they are or may be pregnant or nursing prior to any radiological imaging. Your doctor may recommend another type of test to reduce the possible risk of exposing your baby to radiation.
